Changing User Management and Authentication Logging Policy Settings
The Security Manager can use the Password tab of the HPDM Policies dialog to modify any of
the current user management and authentication logging policy settings. He or she can also use
the NCI ALTER POLICY command as described in this manual, but HPDM presents a clearer
and more convenient interface for this task.
Changes in policy take effect within five minutes.

Viewing and Updating the Power Role Management Policies
The power role management policies provide for an extra level of security in the handling of,
platform roles in general, the power platform role SUPER.SUPER, and the power database roles
ROLE.MGR, ROLE.SECMGR, and ROLE.DBA.
These policies apply to locally and remotely authenticated users.
