Neoview Command Interface (NCI) Guide (R2.5)

New or Changed InformationChapter or Appendix
This appendix describes these new or changed interface commands:
“CONNECT Command”: You can specify two passwords—one for the user
name and the other for the Neoview role—when connecting to the Neoview
platform.
“DISCONNECT Command”: There are several NCI commands that you can
run after you disconnect from the Neoview platform.
“MODE Command”: A new security mode called SEC is available for running
security management commands. You can now run MODE in PRUN script
files.
“PRUN Command”: Support for the MODE command enables you to run
WMS commands, connectivity commands, security management commands,
and NCI commands, in addition to SQL statements, in parallel script files.
PRUN now includes those commands in its total count of SQL operations,
errors, warnings, and successes.
“SCHEDULE Command”: This command is now described in this manual.
“SET CONNECTOPT ROLE Command”: This new command sets the Neoview
role in an NCI session.
“SET PROMPT Command” and “SET SQLPROMPT Command”: These
commands support the %ROLE variable for including the role name in the
prompt.
“SHOW ROLE Command”: This new command displays the Neoview role
in an NCI session.
Appendix A: NCI Commands
