NOTE: After initiating the upload of a Jasper report definition, clicking Cancel
in the IO window will free the application, but not stop the upload request
from completing.
6. To generate a report from a report definition listed in the report definitions tree view:
NOTE: Up to twenty five reports will open in Neoview Reports. Trying to open additional
reports is blocked until one or more reports in the reports pane are discarded.
• Double-click a report definition in the report definitions tree view. This action will
create the selected report in the reports pane. The report is identified by a tab that
specifies the Connection Name, time the report was generated, and the name of the
report.

• Select Generate. This action will create the selected report in the reports pane. The

Troubleshooting Installation of the Neoview Reports Client
These troubleshooting topics are available to assist with installation of the HP Neoview Reports
Client.
MANAGEABILITY.REPORTING Schema Does Not Exist
If an error occurs during connection to the Neoview platform that indicates
“MANAGEABILITY.REPORTING Schema does not exist”, the server was either not installed
properly or the Neoview platform is not compatible with the Neoview Reports client being used.
Unexpected Null Pointer Error
An “Unexpected null pointer” popup error that occurs while running a query can be caused by:
• The query definition was deleted (perhaps by another user) from the server on the Neoview
platform.
• The Client Neoview JDBC Type 4 Driver is not compatible with the JDBC server on the
Neoview platform.
Windows Vista Limitation
On Windows Vista the InstallNVReports.bat may not copy the Jcrontab.bat file into
the startup folder, because the Documents and Settings folder is not present on the Windows
Vista system.
Generating the Report 'By Prompt Dim 1'
The dimension value of the first parameter in the Parameter pop-up window must be 1. If the
value 2 is specified, the report generation fails with this message:
