README for the HP Database Manager (HPDM) (Upd2 R2.4 SP2)

This README describes how to install the HP Database Manager (HPDM) client software. For
information about new and changed features in HPDM, see the README for the corresponding
major release or service pack.
Checking Version Compatibility
Before installing the client product:
• Note that it is possible to install multiple Windows-client drivers and tools, including HPDM,
by using one installer package. For more information, see the README for the HP Neoview
Windows Client Package.
• Check the compatibility of the product with the Neoview platform:

To find the version of an installed HPDM client, select the Help > About menu to display the
About box. The About box displays the current client version.
Installation for Neoview Release 2.4 Service Pack 2
These installation instructions apply to Neoview Release 2.4 Service Pack 2 (SP2) and subsequent
updates of the product until otherwise indicated by a replacement README.
NOTE: These instructions do not necessarily apply to updates earlier than the client update
number shown on the title page of this document.

Installation Package
The HP Database Manager is available as a downloadable ZIP file,
HPDatabaseManagerInstaller_<version>.zip.
The HP Database Manager is installed using either of these installer applications, which are
included in the HPDatabaseManagerInstaller_<version>.zip archive:
• A Windows installer file HPDatabaseManagerInstaller.msi
• A setup.exe file
