New Features for Release 2.4-P SP2

Release 2.4-P SP2 introduces the new features described in the next section:

Neoview Hardware

This release of the Neoview platform introduces support for:

• Systems configured with three logical disk volumes (LDVs), which provide an increase in

the storage capacity for user data.

• Redesigned Segment and Ethernet patch panels. The new extended design of the Segment

and Ethernet patch panels provides additional storage for slack cables and reduces congestion

at the rear of the rack.

• E4M2 patch panels, which contain four Ethernet mini modules (sixteen Ethernet ports) and

two MPO mini modules (eight MPO ports). The E4M2 patch panels make use of the new

extended patch panel design.

• Two three-phase modular power distribution unit (PDU) options, which provide redundant

power outlets for the components mounted in the modular cabinets:

— Three-phase NA/Japan modular PDU

— Three-phase International modular PDU
