Neoview Workload Management Services Guide (R2.4)
6. If the query is allowed to finish executing, Neoview SQL returns the results of the query to
the NDCS server.
7. The NDCS server sends the query results back to the client application. If the query is
cancelled, WMS stops the NDCS server, and the JDBC or ODBC driver returns an error
message to the client application.

How to Use WMS
Using WMS commands, you can set thresholds at the system level or at the service level to
manage resource consumption and query workloads, and you can create rules and associate
them with services to perform actions on queries or sessions that meet certain conditions. For
more information, see:
• “Who Can Run WMS Commands” (page 23)
• “Setting Up Services, Thresholds, and Rules in WMS” (page 24)
• “Monitoring and Managing Queries in WMS” (page 24)
Who Can Run WMS Commands
Administrators are permitted to run any WMS command. By default, administrators include
ROLE.DBA and the super IDs, super.services and super.super. Users other than administrators
may execute only these commands:
• INFO WMS
• STATUS QUERIES
• STATUS QUERY
• STATUS WMS
