Stored Procedures
The Neoview platform supports stored procedures in Java. For more information, refer to the
Neoview Guide to Stored Procedures in Java.
Scripting Support
The Neoview platform supports a client-based utility, Neoview Command Interface (NCI), which
enables you to enter SQL statements interactively or from script files in its command-line interface.
You can also pass an SQL statement to NCI from a Perl or Python command line or from a Perl
or Python program. For more information, see the Neoview Command Interface (NCI) Guide.
System Name Display and Logon Help Link
The DB Admin tool displays the user ID of the user who is logged on. In addition, HP support
or users in the role.mgr group can edit a configuration file so that the system’s name is displayed.
You can customize a link from the DB Admin start page to a web page containing help for DB
Admin users. For example, you might want to provide help in logging on to the system or help
for users who have forgotten their passwords. For example:
