Getting the Version of an Installed Client Product
If you already have the client product installed on your workstation, follow these steps to...
• For Linux systems, use the command: jtrans.sh -version
• For Windows systems, use the command: jtrans.bat -version

product until otherwise indicated by a replacement README.

number shown on the title page of this document.

Installation Requirements
Before the Transporter Java Client is installed, be sure that the following are valid and present
in the environment.
• A Java platform certified compliant with Java Platform Specification, Standard Edition 5
(Update 12) or later
• JDBC Type 4 driver
• ActiveMQ Java Messaging Services 4.1.1 (required for JMS Trickle Feed support)
• A minimum of 1GB of RAM

Required Environment Settings for Client Installation
These settings are required for using the installer.
For example, if Java is installed in /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09:
• export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09
• export PATH=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/bin:$PATH
• export JREHOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/jre
