README for the HP Neoview Reports Client (R2.3)

[Note] Note:
The source for the third party LGPL licensed software, Jcrontab, is
included in the /NeoviewReports/third_party_source directory. The
Jcrontab application is installed with Neoview Reports to assist in
Auto Publishing.
These files will be extracted to NeoviewReports/

1.2.2 Installation Instructions
1.2.2.1 Installing the HP Neoview Reports Client
1. Unzip NeoviewReports_2.3.0.zip into C:\ using the WinZip Extract tool
or the built-in Zip file supported in Windows XP and later operating
systems. All files are placed into C:\NeoviewReports\.
2. Run the Neoview Reports installation file, InstallNVReports.bat. This
action will install the Neoview Reports Client, install and start
Jcrontab, and place a shortcut (NeoviewReports) to the NeoviewReports
executable file on the client workstation desktop. To run
InstallNVReports.bat:
o Navigate to C:\NeoviewReports\ and double-click
InstallNVReports.bat
OR
o Run C:\NeoviewReports\InstallNVReports.bat from a Windows command
prompt.
1.2.2.2 Running the Application
1. To run the Neoview Reports Client tool, double-click NeoviewReports on
the client workstation desktop.
2. A MS-DOS prompt will open. Wait a few seconds for the HP Neoview
Reports tool to appear.
a. If you have previously installed the HP Neoview Reports Client
and there are connection definitions persisting from a previous
session, you will see tab(s) for each connection. To use an
existing connection definition that has not been used in the
current session, select a connection tab. Click Set Password.
This will bring up an Edit Connection Definition window.
In the Edit Connection Definition window, your previous
connection settings should be saved. Make any necessary changes
and enter the password associated with the User ID for the target
Neoview platform. Click OK to open the existing connection
definition using the entries specified in the fields of the Edit
Connection Definition window.
b. If there are no connection definitions persisting from a previous
session, regardless of whether the currently running version of
the HP Neoview Reports Client is a new, an updated, or an
