1.1 Checking Version Compatibility

Before installing the Neoview Reports Client, check compatibility with the

Neoview platform. Neoview Reports Client Release 1.0 is compatible with

Neoview Release 2.3 and later versions. The Client Neoview JDBC Type 4

Driver must be compatible with the JDBC server on the Neoview platform.

The Jcrontab application is installed with Neoview Reports to assist in Auto Publishing. existing installation, click Define a Connection in the reports pane to bring up an Add Connection Definition window. In the Add define the ID for the connection of the Add Connection Definition window, enter the parameters to connection and the password associated with the User target Neoview platform.

Click Cancel to stop the validation using the entries specified in the fields of the Add Connection Definition window, and close the Validating Connection window.

After successfully connecting to the Neoview platform specified in the fields of the Edit Connection Definition window or the Add Connection Definition window, the connection tab contains a Reports pane that lists the report definitions associated with the specified connection definition. The report definitions tree view lists the categorized report definitions used to generate reports. 4.
