Checking Version Compatibility
Before installing the client product, check the compatibility of the product with the Neoview
platform.

Getting the Version of an Installed Client Product
If you already have the client product installed on your workstation, follow these steps to display
the current version:
1. On the client workstation, navigate to the system32 directory (for example,
C:\Windows\system32 on Windows XP or C:\WINNT\system32 on Windows 2000).
2. Locate the hp_odbc0200.dll file in the system32 directory.
3. Right-click the hp_odbc0200.dll file, and select Properties.
4. On the Properties page, select the Version tab, and note the version that is displayed under
Value.

These installation instructions apply to Neoview Release 2.3 and subsequent updates of the
product until otherwise indicated by a replacement README.
NOTE: These instructions do not necessarily apply to updates earlier than the client update
number shown on the title page of this document.

Installation Package
The HP Neoview ODBC Windows driver software is available as a downloadable distribution
file, HPODBC_2.3.<v>.exe (for example HPODBC_2.3.1.exe) or, for the 64–bit driver,
HPODBC64_2.3.<v>.exe (for example HPODBC64_2.3.1.exe).By default, a new version of the
ODBC driver will be installed in the C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP ODBC 2.0
directory (C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP ODBC64 2.0 for the 64–bit driver)
unless you specify a different directory during installation.
