README for the HP Neoview Management Dashboard Client (Upd1 R2.3 SP1)

Checking Version Compatibility
Before installing the Client, check the compatibility of the Client with the Neoview platform.

Getting the Version of the Client
If you already have the Dashboard Client installed on your workstation, you can find out the
version by following these steps:
1. From the Windows Start menu, run Neoview Management Dashboard.
2. Note the version number, of the form N0n.0n, in the Dashboard-About window:
• N02.00 is equivalent to Release 2.0.
• N02.01 is equivalent to Release 2.1.
• N02.02 is equivalent to Release 2.2.
• N02.03 is equivalent to Release 2.3.
Downloading the Client Files
The HP Neoview Management Dashboard Client is accessible via an InstallShield wizard that
you download from the Neoview Management Dashboard Client pages on the Software Depot.
To navigate to the Dashboard Client pages:
1. On the Software Depot home page, type Neoview Management Dashboard in the Search
box.
2. On the Product Catalogue screen, click on HP Neoview Management Dashboard.
To download the Client:
1. On the Product Details and Specifications screen, click on Receive for Free.
2. In the Software Specification box, highlight HP Neoview Management Dashboard Client
for the product version you want.
3. Fill in your customer information, then scroll down and check the boxes to accept the
warranty statement and software license terms.
4. Select Next.
5. Click on Download Directly. This action downloads the executable file corresponding to
the product version you selected:
• NVMD_Client_Setup_2.3.x.exe, for Release 2.3 of the Dashboard Client (x
represents an update number. For example, NVMD_Client_Setup_2.3.1.exe
corresponds to Release 2.3 Service Pack 1.)
NOTE: Once a new version of the Client becomes available, it supersedes all previous
versions for the base release. For example, version 2.3.1 supersedes version 2.3.0.
• NVMD_Client_Setup_v22.exe, for Release 2.2 of the Dashboard Client
• NVMD_Client_Setup_v21.exe, for Release 2.1 of the Dashboard Client
• NVMD_Client_Setup_v20.exe, for Release 2.0 of the Dashboard Client
