Checking Version Compatibility Before installing the Client, check the compatibility of the Client with the Neoview platform. Pre-Installation Step for Support of International Character Sets Follow this procedure before installing the Dashboard Client on a workstation that uses a multibyte character set: NOTE: For a list of limitations in Dashboard Client support for non-ASCII characters, see “Dashboard Client Support for International Character Sets” (page 15). 1. 2. 3. 4. From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel. Select Regional and Language Options, and click on the Advanced tab.
8. On the Customer Information Screen, enter your name and organization, and select Next. 9. On the Destination Folder screen, Select Next.
10. Wait for a few minutes while the Dashboard Client is installed. 11. When installation of the Client is finished, the wizard installs the Client Server Gateway (CSG), which allows communication between the Dashboard Client and the Neoview platform. On the Welcome screen, select Next.
12. On the Select Destination Directory screen, Select Install CSG.

8. 9. If there was error, correct it and try again. Possible errors are an invalid TCP/IP address, Telnet port number, or Host Service Name. A descriptive message will appear in the CSG Terminal Window. Once a connection is established, you can run the Dashboard Client from the Windows Start menu.
2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. From the menu bar, select View —> Options. A Password window opens on top of the Properties window. Enter the password, and select OK. Select the SSG tab, and then select Advanced. The SSG/CSG Advanced window opens. In Name Options, uncheck Term Name, and select OK. On the Permanent Change Warning, select Yes. Close the Dashboard Properties window by clicking OK. Shut down Dashboard, and CSG if it is running.
