4 Deploying SPJ JAR Files on the Neoview Platform
This chapter describes how to move the SPJ code that you developed and packaged into JAR
files from a client workstation to the Neoview platform. These instructions require the Neoview
DB Admin tool:

Uploading SPJ JAR Files to the Neoview Platform
To upload an SPJ JAR file from a client workstation to the Neoview platform, follow these
instructions. When you upload a JAR file to the Neoview platform, the Procedure Code Files
Tool copies the JAR file to your user folder on the Neoview platform. For example, if your user
name is DBA1, the Procedure Code Files Tool copies your uploaded JAR files to the DBA1 folder.
CAUTION: If you upload a JAR file that has the same name as a JAR file that already exists in
your user folder on the Neoview platform, you will overwrite the contents of the JAR file in your
user folder on the Neoview platform.
NOTE: You can upload only one JAR file at a time.
1. In DB Admin, click the Database tab.
2. In the left pane of the DB Admin window, right-click the Objects folder, and then select
Procedure Code File Tool:
TIP: You can also access the Procedure Code Files Tool by right-clicking any schema or
Procedures folder or by clicking the Code Tool button on the Code page of the Create
Procedure Wizard.
