You must use router-based connectivity for the Neoview platform. If you use a pair of routers,
trunk them together or use Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP). This illustration shows
connectivity to a customer environment by means of routers.
You must provide a total of seven or eight LAN connections, including Ethernet cables (CAT5E):
One to each Neoview platform LAN switch for query and results (two connections)
One to each Neoview platform LAN switch for enterprise data feed (two connections)
One to each Neoview System Console for HP ISEE call-out (two connections)
One to each hpVPN Cisco 831 router (second hpVPN Cisco 831 router is optional) for ISEE
call-in (one or two connections)
You need to provide these customer network IP addresses:
Two IP addresses for each of the segments (one primary, one reserved) for the query/result
connection
Two IP addresses for each of the data loaders for the enterprise data feed
One IP address for each of the ISEE call-out ports on the consoles
One IP address for each of the hpVPN Cisco 831 routers
