About This Document
This manual describes how to install and configure HP Neoview ODBC drivers for Microsoft
Windows, HP-UX, Linux, and IBM AIX®. The drivers enable applications developed for the
Microsoft Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) application programming interface (API) to
access the HP Neoview database.
Intended Audience
This document is intended for anyone who installs, configures, manages, or troubleshoots HP
ODBC software and connectivity, for ODBC application programmers who write 32–bit
applications or 64–bit applications on the HP-UX Itanium 64–bit driver, to access an HP Neoview
database, and other end users or application programmers who use HP Neoview ODBC drivers
to access a Neoview database.
New and Changed Information in This Edition
The following information is new or changed in this edition of this manual:
• Added information on the new IBM AIX® driver.
• Added information on the new 64–bit HP-UX Itanium driver.
• Added information on the new 64–bit Linux driver.
• Changed HP ODBC 1.0 to HP ODBC 2.0.
• Changed hp_odbcTrace0100.dll to hp_odbcTrace0200.dll.
• Changed hp_odbc0100.dll to hp_odbc0200.dll.
• Changed the version suffix for all files from 0100 to 0200.
• Added the version 0200 suffix to files that did not have the version suffix.
• Added text that states that case sensitivity can be specified by single quotesas well as double
quotes in “INFOSTATS Command ” (page 19).
• Added information on version incompatibility in Chapter 3: “Installing the HP Neoview
ODBC Drivers” (page 29)
• Added text that says that Java (SPJ) result sets are supported in Chapter 5: “ HP Neoview
ODBC Drivers Conformance” (page 49).
