• The listener socket number specified for Cmserver in the gelserver.config.xml file
is already in use by another program.
• The system has an unknown TCP/IP problem.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. If the port is being
used by another application then either shut down that application or change the listener port
for the Cmserver process in the gelserver.config.xml configuration file. Retry the
operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36005
Failed to find IP address of host by name.
Cause Cmserver failed to find the system IP address from the host name provided because
of an unknown TCP/IP problem
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Retry the operation.
If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36006
Failed to connect to repository server.
Cause Cmserver failed to connect to the repository server on the remote system for one of
these reasons:
• The system has an unknown TCP/IP problem.
• The TCP/IP connectivity with the remote system is lost.
• The port number specified for the repository server in the gelserver.config.xml file
is incorrect.
Recovery Attempt to fix the cause of the problem and retry the operation. If the problem
persists, contact the GMCSC.
36007
Failed to create client socket.
Cause Cmserver failed to create a socket for accepting client connections because of an
unknown TCP/IP problem.
Recovery See the cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Retry the operation.
If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36008
Failed to send data to repository server. Bytes send is less than or
equal to 0.
Cause Cmserver failed to send data to the repository server on the remote system. This
error occurs when the size of the data buffer sent to the repository server is less than or equal
to 0 (zero).
Recovery See the cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Retry the operation.
If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36009
Failed to send data to repository server. Bytes send is less than the
send count.
Cause Cmserver failed to send data to the repository server on the remote system. The
number of bytes sent is less than the expected number. This error occurs for one of these
reasons:
