Cause Cmserver received a request with an unknown request type from a peer Cmserver
process. This is a fatal error.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.

Received error response for status update operation.
Cause Cmserver received an error response when it attempted to deregister its information
in the repository table.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
35021
Read system call returned with error.
Cause There are many possible reasons for this error. Refer to the man page for READ
system call on your host system for possible causes.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36001
Failed to create listener socket.
Cause Cmserver failed to create a listener socket because of an unknown TCP/IP problem.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36002
Failed to find list for host name.
Cause Cmserver failed to find a list of host names for the machine on which it is designated
to run for one of these reasons:
• The system does not have a host name configured.
• The system has some other TCP/IP-related problem.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36003
Failed to find DNS name for the host
Cause Cmserver failed to find a list of host names for the machine on which it is designated
to run for one of these reasons:
• The system does not have a DNS name configured.
• The system has some other TCP/IP related problem.
Recovery See the Cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Attempt to correct the
problem and retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
36004
Failed to bind the socket.
Cause Cmserver failed to bind to the listener socket for one of these reasons:
