Cause Cmserver failed to receive data from a peer Cmserver process. This error occurs
when connectivity with a peer system is lost or the peer Cmserver process has stopped running.
Recovery Check the network connectivity between the source Linux system and the HP
Neoview platform. Check that the Cmserver process is running on the Linux Loader platform,
and if not contact the system administrator to restart the Linux Cmserver process and then
resubmit the request.
32504
Received unknown event on nowait socket.
Cause Cmserver received an unknown event on a socket. This error occurs when a peer
Cmserver process sends erroneous response data.
Recovery Retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC the check the
Cmserver.log file on the HP Neoview platform for detailed error information.
Linux Cmserver Messages (35001-36013)
35001
Failed to open PID file.
Cause The Cmserver process failed to open the cmserver.pid file because of a fatal file-system
error.
Recovery Retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
35002
Failed to lock cmserver.pid file. Note that only one copy of cmserver
daemon process can be running at any particular time.
Cause The Cmserver process failed to lock the cmserver.pid file because a copy of the
Cmserver process is already running.
Recovery No action is required because this is not an error condition. However, if you want
to run a new copy of Cmserver, you must first stop the currently running copy of the Cmserver
process.
35003
Failed to test lock for PID file.
Cause The test that checks whether the cmserver.pid file is locked failed because of a fatal
file-system error.
Recovery Retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
35004
Failed to write to PID file.
Cause Cmserver failed to write its process ID to the cmserver.pid file because of a fatal
file-system error.
Recovery Retry the operation. If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
35005
Received unknown signal.
Cause Cmserver received an unknown signal from the operating system, which is a fatal
error.
Recovery See the cmserver.log file for detailed error information. Retry the operation.
If the problem persists, contact the GMCSC.
