a. In the left pane, expand the Real-time manager tree branch, and click Volume groups.
b. In the right pane, complete the Volume groups: Real-time window:
i. Under Select storage unit, select the array.
ii. On the action menu, click Create.
c. Complete the Define volume group properties window (see Figure 39 (page 53)):
i. Under Nickname, enter a user-defined name for the new group.
ii. Under Accessed by host types, select the Win2003 check box. All other applicable
host types are automatically selected.
iii. Click Next to continue.

d. On the Select host attachments window, select Create new host attachment and then
click Next.
e. On the Select volumes for group window, select Create new open systems volume and
then click Next.
f. On the Verification window, review and verify the settings, and click Finish.
4. Create a volume:
a. In the left pane under Open systems, click Volumes - Open systems.
b. In the right pane, complete the Volumes - Open systems: Real-time window:
i. On the action menu, click Create.
ii. Click Next to continue.
c. Complete the Define volume characteristics window (see Figure 40 (page 54)):
a. Under Select volume groups, click the volume group created in Step 3.
b. Click Next to continue.
