2. In a Web browser, open the IBM Storwize V7000 management tool by entering the IP address
of the array controller.
3. In the left pane, select Hosts > Ports by Host.
4. In the right pane, complete the Add a Host information:
a. Click the New Host button, and under Choose the Host Type, click the Fibre-Channel Host
icon, as shown in Figure 35 (page 50).

b. Optional: Enter the host name in the Host Name box.
c. Select the WWPN from the Fibre-Channel Ports list, and click the Add Port to List button.
d. Create one host for each VPG, and then assign a host name to each VPG.
NOTE: If the zoned data migration appliance port is not visible as the default, manually
enter the WWPN. Create a separate initiator group for each VPG. If more than one VPG is
enabled and used, create a separate initiator group for each.
5. Complete the Create Host dialog box (see Figure 36 (page 51)):
a. Optional: In the Host Name (optional) box, enter a user-defined name for the new host.
b. Under Fibre-Channel Ports, select the WWPN associated with the host, and click the Add
Port to List button.
c. Under Advanced Settings, select Generic (default) as the Host Type.
