2. Make sure that the infrared ports of the two devices are lined up and within range. Tap ok
on the IR Printer Identification screen.
The Specify IR Printer screen appears. The printer’s manufacturer appears in the Mfg drop-
down box, while the printer’s model number appears in the Model drop-down box.
3. When you add a printer, you have to give it a name. The name should be unique and
easily identifiable.
Enter the printer name in the My printer’s name box. When you tap this field, a
keyboard will appear. Use the keyboard to enter the required text, and then tap the
keyboard icon on the command bar to remove the keyboard from the screen.
Select the following check boxes as needed:
•Tap the Enable raw file type check box if you want to send an unprocessed file
(such as a PostScript

or .pdf) directly to the printer.
