Version B.12.00.00 Release Notes
Announcement
Metrocluster with Continuous Access XP P9000 for Linux is a Hewlett-Packard high availability
product for Serviceguard customers requiring integrated disaster recovery solutions with HP XP
P9000 Disk Array storage family.
Metrocluster with Continuous Access XP P9000 for Linux Version B.12.00.00 is being released
on the following Linux distributions:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 server or Advanced Platform
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 server or Advanced Platform
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 11
Integrating this product with Serviceguard for Linux allows application packages to automatically
fail over:
among local nodes that are attached to the same XP/P9000 series array.
between one system that is attached locally to its XP/P9000 frame and another remote node
that is attached locally to the other XP/P9000 frame.
Since Metrocluster configurations may be complex to configure and maintain, it is strongly
recommended to use Hewlett-Packard’s high availability consulting services to ensure a smooth
installation and rollout. Contact your HP representative to inquire about high availability consulting.
In addition, it is recommended you work with your HP representative to ensure that you have the
latest firmware revisions for disk drives, disk controllers, LAN controllers, and other hardware
devices.
