Serviceguard Cluster and Package Configuration Using Serviceguard

Manager or System Management Homepage

Starting with Serviceguard Manager B.03.00, available in Serviceguard A.11.20, the

following Serviceguard Manager operations are supported in a Metrocluster

environment:

• Configuration, monitoring , and administration of Metrocluster modular packages.

• Monitoring and administration of site aware clusters.

However, the following restrictions apply:

• A Metrocluster package configuration requires a system administrator to configure

data replication, which is not supported by Serviceguard Manager. This step needs

to be performed by the administrator outside of HP Serviceguard Manager.

• The configuration of a site-aware Metrocluster is not supported by HP Serviceguard

Manager B.03.00.

Patches and Fixes in This Version

Following are the patches required for Metrocluster/SRDF version A.09.01 at the time

of publication:

• Migrating Legacy packages to Metrocluster Modular packages created with version

A.09.01 is supported with HP Serviceguard A.11.19 or later, only when the

following patches (or later) are installed:

— PHSS_39613 for HP-UX 11i v2

— PHSS_39614 for HP-UX 11i v3

However, this is subject to change without notice. For the most current information

contact your HP support representative or Hewlett Packard IT Resource Center.

Additional patch requirements:

• Install any required patches for Serviceguard and Cluster Object Manager for your

version.

• All HP-UX patches required by Serviceguard are also required in a

Metrocluster/SRDF configuration.

To view all patches that have been applied on your system, use the following command:

# swlist -l patch | grep applied | more
