In this example, let us assume that the VSP is allocated 1 core and the remaining 7 cores are
allocated to vPars, and a CPU is deconfigured (which has 4 cores) due to a hardware issue. After
you boot the VSP, only 3 CPU cores will be available. vPars with more than 3 CPUs will not be
bootable. vPars with fewer than 3 CPUs will be bootable, however, each CPU allocated reduce
the number of CPUs available to boot the remaining vPars. The total CPU core count by the
configured vPars must be reduced to 3 for all vPars to boot.
Removing HP-UX Virtual Partitions v6.0
You can remove the HP-UX vPars v6.0 from the VSP using the following command:
# swremove -x autoreboot=true BB068AA VirtualBase
