Troubleshooting user settings
These sections describe a behavior you might encounter and provide suggested actions you can
take.
User public key does not work or is not accepted
If you see this behavior: The user public key does not work or is not accepted.
Suggested action: Because hidden characters introduced during a copy/paste operation can
change the key code, try entering the key again, taking care to prevent special characters from
being injected into the key when pasting it into the public key field.
Troubleshooting IP addresses
These sections describe a behavior you might encounter and provide suggested actions you can
take.
Network connectivity might be lost
Apply the recommendations that pertain to your situation.
Possible cause and recommendationSymptom
Address Resolution Procotol (ARP) cache might contain old data
Network connectivity to floating IP
addresses appear to be lost for a period
of time
1. With authorized access to your router, enter a command to clear the
router cache and improve performance. Each router platform has its own
command to clear the ARP cache, so determine the appropriate command
to perform this function.
2. Enable gratuitous ARP on the router or routers that are directly connected
to the KVM cloud floating IP network. See the documentation for your
particular router for the instructions on how to perform this action.
HP recommends that you do not alter the cache time, because this could
adversely affect the router performance.
Detaching an IP address operation is unsuccessful

Possible cause and recommendationSymptom
An automatically assigned address cannot be detached from
its instance
