1. Log in to the management VM host on which the appliance is running and enter the
command:
virsh reboot ISC-VM
encountered a serious
error
2. Open the Matrix KVM Admin Console in your browser and wait for a login screen, then
log in.
3. If a login screen does not appear, enter the following commands on the management host:
virsh shutdown ISC-VM
virsh start ISC-VM
4. Consider creating a support dump and sending it to HP to help diagnose the problem that
occurred and to help improve the product.

NTP synchronization operation fails

Appliance not properly configured for NTP

match NTP server
1. Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure Administrator
2. Verify that the IP address of the NTP server is correct.
3. Examine the Appliance Settings pane to confirm that the IP address of the NTP server is
present.
4. Verify that the NTP server is up and communicating.
5. Synchronize the appliance clock with the NTP server.
Troubleshooting security settings
This troubleshooting section provides tasks that can be used to solve problems during certificate
actions and support dump file creation.
Certificate action fails
Follow the recommendation if any of these certificate actions fails:
• Create a self-signed certificate
• Create a certificate signing request
• Import certificate

Certificate action failed
1. Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure Administrator
2. When creating a certificate signing request or importing a certificate, verify that the
networking is working properly.
3. Wait for the web server to restart, then try the action again.
