2. Import the SSL root certificate into the Systems Insight Manager trust store.
1. From the Systems Insight Manager menu (the top blue menu bar), select
OptionsSecurityCredentialsTrusted Systems.
2. Select the Trusted Certificates tab. Click Import, browse to the file, and click OK.
Restart the infrastructure orchestration service
1. On the Matrix OE CMS, select StartAdministrative ToolsServices.
2. Restart the “HP Matrix infrastructure orchestration Windows service.
Configure a KVM cloud pool
1. Launch the Matrix infrastructure orchestration console at https://cms-ip-address:50000.
2. Select ToolsInfrastructure orchestration.
3. From the Matrix infrastructure orchestration console Home tab, click the Configure KVM cloud
pool link to launch a dialog that configures an HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud endpoint for
provisioning from Matrix infrastructure orchestration. With the specified information, the dialog
performs the following configuration tasks:
Defines a cloud capacity pool by creating or adding an entry to
conf/cloud/nova-cloud-pools.xml.
Configures the cloud capacity pool properties file
conf/cloud/<pool-ID>.properties.
Creates an image filter file conf/cloud/<pool-ID>-image-filters.xml that
passes all active images.
Creates a password entry in mxpassword.
4. In the Configure KVM cloud pool dialog, specify the following input:
Resource Name Name of the cloud resource capacity pool to be created. This
name becomes the <pool-ID> in the configuration filenames
(with whitespace removed). This resource name will appear
as a Cloud Resource in Matrix infrastructure orchestration.
Provider Description of the cloud capacity pool’s source provider. By
default, this value is HP Matrix KVM Private Cloud.
KVM Controller Host IPv4 address, fully qualified hostname, or short hostname of
the Matrix KVM Admin Console appliance.
User Name Name of the Cloud User created in Add a Cloud User (page
26).
Password Password for the Cloud User created in Add a Cloud User”
(page 26).
Proxy (Optional) Proxy used to access the KVM Controller Host.
Proxy Port (Optional) Port number for the proxy used to access the KVM
Controller Host.
Create a template
1. Launch infrastructure orchestration Designer at:
https://cms-ip-address:51443/hpio/designer.
2. Create a template. Drag one or more Virtual Server Groups (which includes a Virtual Storage
icon) and Network icons to the components frame, and connect the Network component to
the server group. Right-click the server group to configure it.
