5 Deploy a virtual machine to the cloud
The following procedures describe how to deploy a virtual machine instance to the Matrix KVM
Private Cloud. Matrix Operating Environment interfaces with the VM host to provision servers and
storage, deploy images, and connect the network.

Add a Cloud User
Use this procedure to add a Cloud User. The Infrastructure Administrator was created during the
initial installation and setup of the KVM Private Cloud by an HP Services Technical Consultant.
Associated permissions or privilegesRole category
Full access to view, create, edit, or remove any resources managed by the KVM Admin
Console appliance, including management of the appliance itself via the user interface
Infrastructure Administrator
or command line. The Infrastructure Administrator can also manage any activity
information provided by the appliance in the form of alerts, events, notifications, and
logs.
These permissions do not extend to using HP Matrix Operating Environment infrastructure
orchestration. User privileges for accessing infrastructure orchestration or the infrastructure
