to match the version of the Integrity VM on the VM Host.
For the VM Hosts, install the VM Provider (bundle name: VMProvider). This component
is included with the Integrity VM product and with the HP-UX 11i v2 December 2005
(or later) release.
For HP-UX guests, install the VM Provider (bundle name: VMProvider). This component
is included with the Integrity VM product and with the supported HP-UX releases. It
is also provided in the guest kit area on the VM Host. For HP-UX 11i v2, the guest kit
area is:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/hpux/11iv2
For HP-UX 11i v3, , the guest kit area is:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/hpux/11iv3
For Windows guests, install the WMI Integrity VM Provider (installer:
WMIHpvmProvider64.msi). This component is included with the HP Integrity Essentials
Foundation Pack for Windows, which contains HP Smart Setup Media (SSM) version
5.5, and with the VSE Management Software. This component is also included in the
following guest kits area on the VM Host:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/windows
For Linux guests, the VM Provider (bundle name: VMProvider) is part of the
Hpvmprovider RPM kit, which is included in the HP Integrity Essentials Foundation
Pack for Linux (also known as HPIEFL for Linux) and in the guest kits area on the VM
Host. For SUSE Linux, the guest kit area is:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/linux/SLES
For Red Hat Linux, the guest kit area is:
/opt/hpvm/guest-images/linux/RHEL
The Utilization Provider gathers utilization statistics for CPU, memory, disk, and LAN. This
information is delivered using WBEM and gathers data using a daemon
(/usr/sbin/utild). Install the Utilitization Provider on the VM Host and on each virtual
machine.
For VM Hosts, install the HP-UX Utilization Provider (bundle name: UtilProvider). This
component is included with HP-UX 11i v2 December 2005 or later and in all Operating
Environment Update Releases of HP-UX 11i v3. It is also included with the VSE
Management Software.
For HP-UX guests, install the HP-UX Utilization Provider (bundle name: UtilProvider).
This component is included with the supported HP-UX releases, and with the VSE
Management Software.
For Windows guests, install the WMI Utilization Provider (installer:
WMIUtilProvider64.msi). This component is included with the HP Integrity Essentials
Foundation Pack for Windows, containing HP Smart Setup Media, version 5.5, and
with the VSE Management Software.
For Linux guests, the Utilization Provider (name: hp-utilprovider) is included in the
HP Integrity Essentials Foundation Pack for Linux, and with the VSE Management
Software.
Installing VM Manager on HP SIM
On HP SIM, system requirements for installing VM Manager are the same as requirements for
installing VSE Management Software. (For information about these requirements, see the HP
VSE Management Software Version 4.1 Installation and Update Guide for HP-UX.) You must have a
license for at least one other component of VSE Management Software, such as Virtualization
