Recent issues fixed in this release (A.4.1.1)
This section lists problems found in an earlier version of VM Manager A.4.1 and that have been
fixed for this current release.
VM Manager used with HP SMH does not display utilization data for guests
Applies to usage with: HP SMH standalone
The VM Manager product (A.4.1.0) installed from the HP-UX 11i v3 March 2010 Operating
Environment Update Release (OEUR) and used with HP SMH does not display utilization data
for virtual machines. For example, the following columns of the VM Host Virtual Machines tab
display “No Data” instead of actual utilization data, and the utilization meters (bar graphs)
incorrectly show 100% utilization:
VM vCPU Utilization
Memory Utilization
Disk I/O
Network I/O
This problem has been fixed with this latest release of VM Manager.
Access failure when attempting to access a VM Manager screen to manipulate a VM
Applies to usage with: Insight Dynamics
This problem was seen when using the VM Manager product (A.4.1.0) installed from the HP-UX
11i v3 March 2010 Operating Environment Update Release (OEUR). Users can access VM Manager
and display data, but an attempt to access a VM Manager screen to manipulate a VM (such as
using a Modify, Create, or Delete Vir tual Machine menu option) fails with an error message
similar to the following:
Access failure for VM host host-name:
The VM host is not known to HP Systems Insight Manager.
The VM host must be known to HP SIM to use Integrity Virtual Machines Manager
for the VM host or for any VM hosted by it.
This problem has been fixed with this latest release of VM Manager.
