HP Insight Dynamics- VSE for ProLiant Installation and Configuration Guide

IMPORTANT: HP SIM collects HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) license information through an SSH connection.
If you have not already done so, you must configure the proper SSH credentials so that HP SIM can collect
this information. To perform an automatic collection of iLO licenses, select Deploy→License
Manager→Collect Remote License info. For more information about this procedure, see the HP SIM
Technical Reference Guide.
Adding and applying licenses to Insight Control Environment
The HP Insight Control Environment suite uses three license keys—Insight Control Environment key, Rapid
Deployment Pack license file, and iLO Advanced (or iLO Advanced for BladeSystem) license key. For successful
system operation, you must apply all three keys to each managed target system.
The Insight Control Environment license key contains hidden sublicenses for the following products:
• Insight Power Manager
• Performance Management Pack
• Virtual Machine Management Pack
• Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack
To add an Insight Control Environment license key in HP SIM:
1. Select Deploy→License Manager.
2. Click Add Licenses.
3. Enter the key in the Specify Key String field.
4. Click Process.
5. When key details appear, click Add Licenses Now.
To apply an Insight Control Environment license key in HP SIM:
1. Select Deploy→License Manager.
2. Select Insight Control Environment in the Product License Information list, and then click the
Manage Licenses button.
3. A list of license keys appears. Click Apply Licenses.
4. Select the systems to license, and then click the Apply button.
5. Click the Next button to display the Deploy Insight Control Environment screen.
6. Select unlicensed systems, and then click the Select License button.
7. In the Licenses currently available for Insight Control Environment table, select the license to
apply, and then click the Apply License button.
