Precondition:
An unused volume is defined in the SPE.

The pre-presented volume is added to the IO service and

Precondition:
An unused volume is defined in the SPE.
SAN storage is properly configured (disk carved and SAN

The pre-carved volume is automatically presented by SPM to the
VM host, added to the IO service, and configured as a data
store.
d. Adding a disk by using an automatically generated SPM (HP Matrix Operating Environment 7.1 and later).
Precondition:
An IO system (IO template, SPM, and LSM) is configured for
autocarving.
Result:
The VM hosts are not rebooted.
The new volume is added as a data store.

The VM hosts must have no guest VMs defined; otherwise, the
request will fail.
Result:
All the VM hosts are deleted and the storage is released.
The blades remain available to IO.
