Table 8 Options with the vparmodify command. (continued)
DescriptionOption
Deletes resources from a virtual partition.-d rsrc
Modifies existing resources in a virtual partition. The rsrc is a physical or
virtualized hardware resource specification using a resource statement.

The table here shows a summary of resource statement syntax forms for -m rsrc.

NOTE: phystype is the type of device path specified for the
physical device on the VSP host.
tgt is a numeric target device ID that is presented to the virtual
partition. The tgt value is optional. If it is not defined, a value is
automatically assigned.
dsf represents devices specified using a Device Special File.
vsname is the name of the virtual switch created with vparnet.
If the value 0 is specified for a CPU num, min, or max, the default value is assigned.
Specifies a new name for the existing virtual partition.-P new_vpname
Specifies the IP address to connect to the Virtual iLO Remote Console of the
virtual partition. The address must be in IPv4 dot notation. A remote console
-K console_ip
can be disabled if -K 0 is specified. If the -K option is specified, the -L
option must also be specified (-K 0 is specified).
If the console_ip is not set, the console can only be accessed from the VSP
using the vparconsole command.
Used with the -K option. It specifies the IPv4 subnet mask to use for accessing
the Virtual iLO Remote Console for the specified virtual partition.
-L netmask
Adds (+ or unspecified) or removes (–) a group authorization. A VSP user
account that is a member of this group can use the vparconsole command
-g [+|-]group[:{admin|oper}]
to manage the virtual partition. The group attribute specifies the name of the
group. The argument specifies the privilege level — admin or oper —
available at the console of the virtual partition.
Adds (+ or unspecified) or removes (–) a user authorization. A VSP user
account specified here can use the vparconsole command to manage the
-u [+|-]user[:{admin|oper}]
virtual partition. The user attribute specifies the user name. The argument
