When implementing power capping for HP BladeSystem, HP recommends using Enclosure Dynamic Power Capping set
through either the Onboard Administrator or Insight Control power management user interfaces. To use Enclosure Dynamic
Power Capping, you must upgrade your iLO 2 firmware to version 1.70 or greater and iLO 3 to version 1.0 or greater,
and are encouraged to update your system ROM to version 10/1/2008 or greater for iLO 2, and May 2010 or newer
for iLO 3 for G7 servers. For some older BL460c servers, the iLO 2 firmware may not be able to automatically update
the Dynamic Power Capping hardware circuit. In these instances, the Onboard Administrator will compensate for the
absence of the internal hardware circuit and continue to guarantee circuit protection.
