Restoring the default settings:
You can restore the filters to the original setting – all active notifications – by selecting Filters→Reset
to defaults.
You can restore the original date setting – all dates – by selecting All Time on the date selector.
About VM host management
To navigate to this screen from other locations in the user interface, click the black menu bar at
the top of the screen and select Hosts.
Use this screen to view compute nodes (KVM hosts) that are capable of hosting virtual machine
instances. From the Actions menu, you can activate and deactivate VM hosts managed by the
Matrix KVM Admin Console.
A VM host is managed by the Matrix KVM Admin Console appliance when the IP address of the
host is added to the cloud connectivity subnet.

NOTE: Before you can activate a host, the host must have prerequisite software installed and
configured.

Activating a VM host performs the configuration required on the host to bring the system into the
cloud.

Hosts overview screen details
The overview screen shows the servers (VM hosts) that are capable of hosting Kernel Virtual
Machines (VM instances).
TIP: If a VM host does not appear in this list, restart the network on the VM host.

Install and configure software on the host that brings the system into the cloud.Activate

About virtual machine instance management
To navigate to this screen from other locations in the user interface, click the black menu bar at
the top of the screen and select Instances.
The instances listed in Matrix KVM Admin Console are created using Matrix infrastructure
orchestration. After the virtual machine is deployed, the instance will appear on this screen.
