HP Virtual Server Environment Management for Integrity Version 4.0 Release Notes

2 Documentation Corrections and Additions
The following items are late corrections and additions to the VSE Management Software
documentation.
General
Even though the product documentation states OpenSSH is required, Insight Dynamics - VSE
supports Microsoft Windows environments not running OpenSSH. For details about limitations
when using Microsoft Windows systems without OpenSSH, see “Managing Microsoft Windows
Severs without OpenSSH Installed” (page 20).
Virtualization Manager
Information in the Virtualization Manager online help may differ slightly from information in
the Virtualization Manager Getting Started Guide. In general, the Virtualization Manager Getting
Started Guide provides the most current information. Specific differences include the following:
In the “Tabs and Menus” online help topic, Table 1 Tools Menu, the help information
incorrectly identifies the Process Resource Manager (PRM) as being available only on an
HP-UX CMS. PRM is also available on a Windows CMS. Table 1-1 in the Virtualization
Manager Getting Started Guide shows the correct information.
In the General Workload Properties table in the “Workload Definition Properties” online help
topic, the information on Cluster-Package contains a note about HP SIM that no longer
applies. In the same table accessed from the “Create Monitored Workload” topic, the correct
information appears.
The description of the “‘Show workloads’ control default setting” user preference in Table
1 in the “Modifying User Preferences” online help topic is incorrect. The Virtualization
Manager Getting Started Guide correctly describes this action in Chapter 4, Table 4-1:
“Changing the preference will not change the current setting. This preference takes place
when you log out and log back in.”
In the Workload View online help topic, callout seven contains a table describing workload
type values that is incomplete and contains some obsolete values. For a complete list of the
current workload type values, see Table 2-3 in the Virtualization Manager Getting Started
Guide.
In the Utilization Metrics online help topic, the Available Metrics” subtopic defining
Network and Disk I/O utilization is incomplete. For complete information, see the section
titled Available Utilization Metrics” in Chapter 4 of the Virtualization Manager Getting Started
Guide.
Information in the callouts for the Compartment Details online help topic has been updated
in the "Compartment Details" section in Chapter 2 of the Virtualization Manager Getting Started
Guide.
Information shown in the Compartment Details help topic, Table 2: Visualization View
Icons, has been updated in Table 2-2 in the Virtualization Manager Getting Started Guide.
Capacity Advisor
The following corrections and additions apply to the Capacity Advisor documentation.
Auto Power Calibration Requires VSE All Tools Authorization
Auto power calibration requirements are not documented in the Capacity Advisor documentation.
Capacity Advisor auto power calibration requires the user to have a SIM authorization for the
VSE All Tools on the CMS and for the managed node.
