2. Select Protocols for <your SQL server instance>.
3. In the right-hand screen, right-click TCP/IP and select Properties.
4. In the TCP/IP Properties window, select the IP Addresses tab.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the IP list.
6. Under IPAll
a. Set TCP Dynamic Ports to blank (delete the 0).
b. Set TCP Port to appropriate port (default is 1433)
7. Click OK.
8. Close SQL Server Configuration Manager.
9. Restart SQL services.
