Servers with an SNMP status of UP are being actively monitored. If you see a
DOWN status, it means that the server is either down, or the SNMP service on the
server is no longer running.
When selecting (highlighting) a single server, if the Launch TopTools for
Servers button is active (not grayed) you may opt to access HP TopTools for
Servers web pages from your TopTools management server to obtain status,
configuration, and troubleshooting tools.
Viewing Alerts With HP TopTools Auto Alert
With HP TopTools Auto Alert, alert and warning notifications appear in the Auto
Alert windows on your console (Figure 3-2).
Auto Alert notifications (also called events) are triggered by a variety of
conditions, such as changes in disk volume (capacity), Network Interface Card
(NIC) status, and predictive SCSI drive failure.
