NOTE You must have Supervisor privileges on the network to install
the HP NetServer Agents and DMI software on your NetWare
servers. Also, be sure that you have not previously logged onto
any other server from the console as a user without Supervisor
privileges.
1. To run the Novell NetWare agent installation software, do one of the
following:
à If you downloaded the NetServer Agents and DMI installation software
from the Internet, after extracting the files, choose "Run" from the Start
menu on your Windows system. Go to the directory where the software
was copied and run the Setup.exe program.
Or
à Insert the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM into your Windows NT or
95, 98 or 2000 system's CD-ROM drive and choose "Run" from the
Start menu in Windows and enter:
x:\manage\server\language\netware\setup
where x: is the CD-ROM drive containing the HP NetServer Navigator
CD-ROM and language is an abbreviation for your local language
(US=English, FR=French, GE=German, IT=Italian, SP=Spanish,
JP=Japanese).
2. Follow the instructions on the screen to:
à Select Automatic installation (Manual install allows you to specify the
names of additional servers)
à Select the servers you wish to manage
à Have the setup program install the agent software on those servers
3. At each Novell NetWare console, type nsaload at the command prompt
or manually reboot the NetWare servers to activate the agents.
NOTE If NetWare client services is running on your console, you can
use the RCONSOLE program to restart your Novell NetWare
servers from the console and avoid restarting each server
manually.
