Monitor and Alert Capabilities Description
HP Tape Drives*
Warns you of tape drive problems if your NetServer has an HP
tape drive installed.
APC UPS Events*
Informs you of status and warns of problems with the
uninterruptable power supply.
* To obtain additional configuration details including utilization, capacity, and configuration change
monitoring use HP TopTools Integrated Device Manager
** To obtain events on these items you must have installed the NetServer Agents on the server being
monitored.

HP TopTools for Servers includes the following documentation:
• This guide, which describes in detail how to install and use NetServer
Agents and DMI software, HP TopTools Auto Alert and Instant TopTools
to manage your HP NetServers.
• HP TopTools Auto Alert and Instant TopTools application online help
• The HP TopTools Auto Alert README file. A version of this file is
available in the directory where you installed the HP TopTools Auto Alert
software. Use the README file to obtain the latest information about HP
TopTools Auto Alert.
• The HP NetServer Agents, DMI, and Instant TopTools README file(s).
A NOS specific version of this file is available in the directory where you
installed the HP NetServer Agents on each server. Use the README file
to obtain the latest information about HP NetServer Agents.
• The online HP TopTools User Guide. This online manual describes the
installation and usage of HP TopTools Integrated Device Manager and
TopTools for Servers. Refer to the TopTools CD that came with your
