WBEM and WBEM Providers
WBEM (Web-Based Enterprise Management) is a DMTF (Distributed Management Task
Force) standard that uses Internet technologies such as XML, HTTP, and SSL to manage
systems. It allows management applications such as HP Systems Insight Manager to retrieve,
monitor, and configure system information.
WBEM providers are the instruments that provide system data for the management
application. See http://www.hp.com/large/infrastructure/management/wbem/ for more
information on WBEM.
