Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux Version A.03.00 Release Notes IA64 Integrity and x86_64 (May 2010)

Hardware Requirements
All hardware requirements for Serviceguard apply. All servers used need to be certified by SAP.
NOTE: Due to the SAP policies, only HP Storageworks fca22xx HBA’s (driver 7.00.03 and
above) are supported to achieve disk connectivity. For a list of supported storage arrays reference
the certification matrix at www.hp.com/info/sglx.
OS Platform and Version Compatibility
The Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux (T1227AA) is supported on 64-bit RHEL 4 U2,
RHEL 5, RHEL 5.1, RHEL 5.2, and RHEL 5.3, as well as 64-bit Novell SLES 9 SP3, Novell SLES
10, SLES 10 SP1, SLES 10 SP2. and SLES 11 (with Serviceguard A.11.19.01). It does not support
installations based on a 32-bit Linux operating system. The Serviceguard Extension for SAP on
Integrity Linux (T2392AA) is supported on 64-bit RHEL 4 U2, RHEL 5, RHEL 5.1 and RHEL 5.2,
and RHEL 5.3, as well as 64-bit Novell SLES 9 SP3, Novell SLES 10, SLES 10 SP1, SLES 10 SP2.
and SLES 11 (with Serviceguard A.11.19.01). Any deployed RHEL or SLES Linux kernel must
be certified with the SAP LinuxLab and supported by HP Serviceguard for Linux.

All supported HP SGeSAP/LX setups were tested with drivers that are supported by HP
Serviceguard for Linux and at the same time are part of an SAP certified Linux distribution. For
these setups, it is not required to install any driver in addition to those that come with the Linux
distribution. Logical Volume Management (LVM), network bonding and multipathing are
supported via the software that comes with the Linux distribution.
Activities that would endanger SAP support are:
• Recompiling/remaking the Linux kernel after installation.
• Adding drivers that are not part of the installed Linux distribution.
• Adding kernel modules that are not delivered with an open source license.
