The HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux Version A.03.00 (SGeSAP/LX) extends failover
cluster capabilities of HP Serviceguard for Linux to SAP application environments. It provides
a framework of package templates to easily define cluster packages that protect various
components of a mission-critical SAP infrastructure. SGeSAP/LX offers a uniform interface to
cluster ABAP-only, JAVA-only, ABAP/JAVA double-stack, and add-in installations of SAP
application components. This includes SAP mySAP ERP, SAP Netweaver 2004, SAP Netweaver
7.0 (formerly known as SAP NetWeaver 2004s) and SAP Netweaver 7.1 based SAP applications
in a range of supported release versions. The Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux also
clusters underlying databases and SAP liveCache instances. It is possible to combine all clustered
components of a single SAP system into one failover package for simplicity and convenience.
There is also full flexibility to split components up into several packages to avoid unwanted
dependencies and to lower potential failover times. Multiple SAP applications of different type
and release version can be consolidated in a single cluster. SGeSAP/LX enables SAP instance
adoptive computing, and is compatible with the SAP Netweaver HA installation options. It is
possible to use SGeSAP/LX to move redundant SAP ABAP Application Server Instances between
hosts to quickly adapt to changing resource demands or maintenance needs.
It is being released with the following product numbers:
T2392AA LTU - HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Integrity Linux Version A.03.00
T1227AA LTU - HP Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux Version A.03.00
Both releases are also available via Electronic Software Delivery with product numbers T2392AAE
and T1227AAE.
This release also supports Serviceguard A.11.19 and A.11.19.01
