Installing Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux
Serviceguard Extension for SAP on Linux has to be installed on all nodes
that will run an SAP database or central instance package in the cluster.
NOTE Make sure you have installed HP Serviceguard for Linux prior to
installing Serviceguard NFS for LINUX and SGeSAP/LX.
After installation of HP Serviceguard, the following commands will
install both toolkits into their staging locations:
Paths are given relative to the mountpoint of the installation media.
For SUSE:
rpm -i /UnitedLinux/rpms/nfstoolkit/\
nfs-toolkit-A.01.02-0.product.suse.i386.rpm \
/UnitedLinux/rpms/sgesap/\
sgesap-toolkit-A.01.00.01-0.product.suse.i386.rpm
For Red Hat:
rpm -i /RedHat/rpms/nfstoolkit/\
nfs-tookit-A.01.02-0.product.redhat.i386.rpm \
/RedHat/rpms/sgesap/\
sgesap-toolkit-A.01.00.01-0.product.redhat.i386.rpm
Additional manual steps will be needed to integrate the toolkits with
your SAP environment before they can be utilized. For more detailed
information, refer to the Managing Servicegard Extension for SAP on
Linux manual that can be found on the installation media at
documentation/sgesap/manual/T1227-90004.pdf.
