• The utility system-config-kdump may not work for UEK (OL5.8)
The tool system-config-kdump may not create the correct “crashkernel” parameters for crash
dump. To enable crash dump, the crashkernel parameter may be appended manually. For
example, crashkernel=512M.
• Brocade cards initializes failed during the crash dump (OL5.8)
When triggering the kdump in the base kernel (2.6.18-308.el5) of OL5.8, the Brocade cards
cannot be initialized correctly. That causes the system hang during the crash dump.
