Description
HP StoreOpen Standalone LTFS (Linear Tape File System) makes tape self-describing, file-based, and
easy-to-use and provides users with the ability to use standard file operations on tape media for
accessing, managing and sharing files with an interface that behaves as a hard disk. In addition, HP
LTFS provides the ability to share data across platforms, as you would with a USB drive or memory
stick.

Devices supported
Installation of this release allows the following devices to then be supported on the product models:
• All HP LTO-5 Ultrium SAS standalone tape drives and media.
• All HP LTO-6 Ultrium SAS standalone tape drives and media.
NOTE: Automation drives are not supported.

HP LTFS is supported on the following operating systems:
• Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows Vista SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit)
