How the Lefthand Networks DSM for MPIO Works
The SAN/iQ DSM for MPIO is a server-side plug-in software into the
Microsoft™ iSCSI driver framework. The DSM understands the data-map of
the volume(s) on the storage cluster according to the LeftHand Networks
patented replication algorithm to read and write to exactly the correct storage
node. The following graphic indicates how the DSM works with the
Microsoft™ iSCSI driver to build MPIO connections to the SAN.
