When prompted enter the desired size of the partition in MB.
• Assign a drive letter to the partition and format it using
disk management.
Aligning a partition with Diskpart for Windows 2003 SP1 and R2
• Diskpart.exe is already available on a Windows 2003 server, however only
Windows 2003 SP1 and higher diskpart can align disks.
• Open a command prompt and type diskpart.exe
• Enter > list disk
• Note the disk number that you want to create the partition on.
• Enter > select disk (disk number)
• Enter > create partition primary align=64
