ENWW TCP/IP Configuration 43
Depending on the system, the LAN hardware address may require a specific
format.
For example:
● For Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003
arp -s 192.168.45.39 00-01-E6-a2-31-98
ping 192.168.45.39
● For UNIX
arp -s 192.168.45.39 00:01:E6:a2:31:98
ping 192.168.45.39
Note Once the IP address has been set on the projector server,
additional arp and ping commands will be ignored. Once
the IP address is configured, arp and ping cannot be used
unless the server is reset to factory values (see Chapter 6
).
On UNIX systems, the arp -s command may vary
between different systems.
Some BSD-based systems expect the IP address (or host
name) in reverse order. Other systems may require
additional parameters. See your system documentation for
specific command formats.
